Governor training - anti-bullying

The Sandhill Centre on Tuesday, 24. April 2018 - 17:00

Presented by Dorothy Maddison, Anti Bullying Coordinator / Child Protection Volunteer Coordinator. The session will provide an overview of the anti-bullying agenda in Sunderland and offer advice to governors on how they can challenge schools.

This session is free to any school/academy that has subscribed to the Council's Governor Training and Development Service for the 2017/18 academic year. For those governing boards which do not subscribe, governors may still attend any session, but the school/academy will be charged £80 per place.

iMovieThis course is designed to show you how to use the built in apps on the iPad to create engaging films.

 

We'll look at a range of apps you can use to create your films and how to tell a story using a five shot sequence.

We'll also give practical tips on how to improve the quality of your shots, how to make your film look professional by adding titles and music.


We'll also discuss additional equipment that can improve the quality of your iPad films.
 

 

This course is suitable for: Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Teachers and Teaching Assistants. A working knowledge of an iPad is needed for this session.

Resources Required: iPad and the iMovie app

We have a small number of iPads available to use as part of the training if required.

Aimed at: The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require an employer to provide adequate and appropriate first aid equipment, facilities and people so your employees and children in your care can be given immediate help if they are injured or taken ill at work.  What is 'adequate and appropriate' will depend on the circumstances in your workplace and you should assess what your first aid needs are.  After completing a final assessment successful candidates receive an approved certificate valid for three years.
