A statutory safeguarding training session led by Pam Gartland from Safeguarding First, in association with Sunderland Music Hub.  The session will share recent legislation changes for Tutors working in Sunderland to ensure understanding of every individuals roles and responsibilities within the Keeping children safe in education guidance, updated by the DfE September 2016.  open and free to all practitioners.  Tutors registered with Sunderland Music Education Hub's practitioner list will receive a £50 subsidy for attending the training.

Are you interested in exploring coding on the iPad? Swift does an awesome job of bridging the gap between block style programming and proper  written code. Learn how to use Swift playgrounds to engage students in coding.  Attendees will also be explore how to control a range of robots, drones and other devices using Swift.

This event is suitable for anyone that works with children.

This course is suitable for: All Teachers and Teaching Assistants. A working knowledge of an iPad is helpful for this session.

Resources Required: iPad and the Swift Playgrounds app.

We have a small number of iPads available to use as part of the training if required.
