General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) - Briefing session

Due to the high demand for previous sessions we are pleased to be able to offer an additional briefing session on the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which will apply in the UK from 25 May 2018.

This briefing highlights the key themes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to help organisations understand the new legal framework requirements.

What is the GDPR?

Coming into effect on 25 May 2018, GDPR will introduce a number of new data protection obligations for any business that processes people’s personal information, and new rights for those people.

It’s essential your company gets to grips with the changes to ensure compliance, and avoid penalties and fines.

Course aims and objectives:-

In April 2018 Ofsted removed its optional self-evaluation form however the need to self-evaluate is still a strong key factor throughout the Inspection Framework. The aim of the training is to stress the importance and value of completing and updating the self-evaluation.

After the training the provider will:

  • Gain an understanding of the value and importance of self-evaluation;
  • Know how Ofsted will use the self-evaluation during an inspection;
  • Have an understanding of the relevant information to be detailed within a self-evaluation document;
  • Be aware that the information detailed should detail the impact that there has been as a result of the changes implemented.
