The session is aimed at maths SL, SLT and HTs who have adopted Sunderland’s new solution to assessing a mastery approach mathematics curriculum
These sessions will offer an opportunity for leads to share ideas, compare standards, progress and attainment linked to the new assessment materials and year group programmes of study. There will be specific focuses on pupils who are developing a greater depth to their knowledge and those working below age-related expectations and with SEN.
Leads will need to bring to each session the following:
Key data figures – i.e. % of pupils ‘on-track’ for age-related expectations and % working at ‘greater depth’
Pupil outcomes (books from each year group and to represent the ability spread within each cohort)
The majority of the session will consist of leads working in small cluster groups to moderate work and agree judgements across schools. The Maths SIO will be able to verify judgments, share ideas and examples and provide support regarding how accelerated progress can be made.
