Your NQT year will be over before you know it - what then?
I have met many of you during our training sessions and it is great to know we have so many dedicated NQTs but eventually you will not be an NQT anymore. When I was an NQT all I thought about was teaching and being with my pupils, making a difference. I remember being told but what if you could make a difference on a bigger level - so this is what I am saying to you. I can see some of you as our leaders of tomorrow. This is why we are in the process of securing some training for you - with a transferable and nationally recognised qualification. The courses will give you a taster of leading, working with others and/or taking on additional responisiblities - particularly if you are considering middle leadership.
The courses are:
Equality and Diversity
You can enrol on both if you are up to the challenge. They are distance learning short courses and you would need to attend Sandhill Centre once for 2 hours. The courses will not begin until May (and the 2 hours could be included as your Core Session - the rest is flexible).
Your educational settings will have received an email - so if you are interested talk to your induction tutor and then contact Wendy Kay for further details or to register.
