How will you be marking Safer Internet Day on the 10th of February? Maybe you have a special event planned or you are devoting your lessons to helping your students stay safe on line. To help you out we are launching our updated parent's e-safety leaflet and Cyber Safe agreement.
We can't believe its nearly two years since we launched the first agreement and things have most definately moved on. The information has been updated and the Cyber Safe agreement has been expanded to cover online gaming with our new "Play Fair" addition. Why "Play Fair"? We are finding more and more that issues arise in schools between pupils who have played against each other online and bring their confilicts into the classroom. The problem has been particulalry prevalent in Primary Schools where boys are playing games aimed at adults against older players. Sadly older players are not setting a good example for how to behave and younger players are copying them.
We have also added a tear off slip to the agreement so that schools can keep a record of who has signed up and families can keep a copy of the agreement for reference - Could be one for the fridge door. You can download the updated stuff here.
