Sunderland Music Hub works with schools, teachers, practitioners, young people and organisations across the City, to ensure all young people can access a high quality music education. The partnerships provide a range of music education activities from instrumental tuition, ensembles, access to progression routes, singing opportunities and large scale performances and events . 

 

 

 

Event News Update

 

  • Local Authority wide membership of Charanga for Primary and Special schools. Only 50% of Primary Schools in Sunderland have taken up the opportunity to get a free years subscription to Charanga. To get a licence for your school just clickhere www.sunderlandmusicdigital.org.uk. Charanga have launched a new assessment tool for monitoring progress in Music - an extremely useful resource and must for anyone teaching music in primary settings.

Congratulations

  • Also to Houghton Area Youth Band, St Anthony’s Choir and East Herrington Choir who have all be invited to take part in national events, such as Music for Youth in Birmingham and Northern Choir Festivals. Good luck in your future performances/competitions.
