The ICT for Education Conference Programme, 2013
In case you haven’t already heard, ICT for Education is hosting a conference and exhibition at the Sports Direct Arena (St James’ Park) in Newcastle on Friday 27 September. We would be delighted to see you there – but hurry, you need to register now as places are limited and filling fast!
Conference attendance is FREE to all delegates, so don’t miss this opportunity to take part in an informative and entertaining event hosted by ICT for Education, a vendor-independent brand dedicated to making ICT a success in our primary and secondary schools. The conference runs from registration at 7.45 am to 2.15 pm. Come for the whole day or come when you can, and please feel free to bring colleagues and share this invitation.
Our headline speaker is Steve Bunce, a consultant at Futurelab Education and frequent visitor to schools in and around Newcastle. Our guest speaker is Andy Hutt, an independent education consultant and inspiring presenter, who will explore ICT tools for teaching and learning – many of them free – and some of the ways in which we can promote and support their use in our schools.
Steve and Andy join a great line-up of speakers and panel participants including Phil Spoors, assistant headteacher and ICT lead at Cramlington Learning Village; Matt Hogan, ICT teacher at The King’s School and CPD specialist; and Richard French, director of educational policy at the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
As well as conference sessions and an exhibition of ICT suppliers, the Newcastle conference will present live product-reviews and a Question Time- style debate headlined: "Will forthcoming changes to the national curriculum improve the ICT capacity of schools and students to an extent that will benefit employers?"
