E-Safety Training For All Schools

tukLogoNot many people are aware that Sunderland is the most connected city in the country and that if Facebook - currently the third biggest country in the world - had a capital city it would be us too. Young people's involvement in using the web as a communication tool can present fantastic opportunities for collaboration and learning.
It can also present challenges to those young people who are not aware of how to stay safe online.

Our aim is to ensure that every young person in the city gets the opportunity to experience training in online safety.
At the CLCs we are operating a rolling programme of e-safety training for Sunderland schools and agencies that have direct contact with young people.

So far we have trained the whole staff at three secondary schools and seven primaries in using the CEOP materials to their students.

The key message of the training is having fun, staying safe and being in control when you are online.

If you are from a would like to arrange a whole school training session for your school contact the CLCs here
If you would like selected staff from your school to attend a course we are running them on the following dates bookable via the CEOP website.
