Music is part of the National Curriculum for pupils right through to the age of fourteen, after which the subject becomes optional at GCSE and A-Level. All pupils therefore receive a basic grounding in Music, which will include the opportunity to compose and perform using voice and percussion instruments. Pupils will also listen to and study a wide range of recorded music from differing cultures and periods of history.
