Want to share media online?

We have recently installed a streaming media server which you can access via the network. It will allow you to upload mutimedia content that can be made available to students in your school.

View it as a kind of YouTube for Sunderland schools with a lot of extra features that will really help in using rich media content in your lessons.

Not only does the system allow you to upload videos, but it also allows you to tag specific sections of videos to create lesson playlists. These can be shared with other teachers via the system.

Missed a great programme on TV last night that would have been great to use in your lesson?

Don't worry because the media server captured it.

We are currently recording the last seven days of most major freeview channels and you can transfer any programme to the system with the click of a button. The programme will then be available on the system for you to bookmark and use in your lesson. In order to access this feature your school must have a CLA licence in place

The system can also create slideshows from photo collections too.

If you want ot have a username and password setup for your school please contact us

E-Safety Training For All Schools

tukLogoNot many people are aware that Sunderland is the most connected city in the country and that if Facebook - currently the third biggest country in the world - had a capital city it would be us too. Young people's involvement in using the web as a communication tool can present fantastic opportunities for collaboration and learning.
It can also present challenges to those young people who are not aware of how to stay safe online.
